Well, as some of my new art pieces and adjustments to my DeviantArt profile indicate, I am no longer putting out TERA related fanart. There may be the occasional TERA related piece for people who requested art from me, or if I'm commissioned to do a TERA related piece I am open to that. But, because of irl as well as in-game circumstances, I am no longer playing TERA.
The other big piece of news when it comes to myself artistically is that I have begun to develop a new painting technique, which is to say that I'm stepping away from the comic-book or manga style digital pieces and moving more towards realism (with my own special twist, just like anything else I've drawn in my life).
Working in this new style is very freeing for me, because I feel like I can take on anything, absolutely anything, and paint it with some level of success. With this style I'll be able to do pieces that have a grittier quality to them, as well as finally be able to tackle and design some monster creatures that I've wanted to put on paper for years now.
And with these two developments that means that I'll be turning back to drawing more original works rather than primarily fanart. But that doesn't mean that I'm leaving Tev and Alyssa behind. That's right folks, for those who love this couple, they have been awarded official "original character" status, and will be undergoing their own evolutions and refinements as my art skills grow and progress. My first take on Alyssa in this new style -and moving away from the TERAesk incarnation of her, is already in my "original works" gallery.
I look forward to seeing what this path comes up with.
